There isn't yet a known treatment or cure for misokinesia. At present, coping methods can include emotion regulation therapy, communicating with others about the disorder, and using barriers to block triggering visuals.

Misokinesia is a real disorder and, while definitions vary, a disability is usually any mental or physical condition that impacts a person's ability to carry out one or more typical life activities, such as schooling, work, social activities, home life, relationships, shopping, etc.
